It’s our mission to ensure your hair hire experience is easy and fuss-free. We’ve collated all of our frequently asked questions and hair hire guidelines below to help ensure all your queries are covered.

Hair Extensions FAQ’s

  • When choosing colours, it doesn’t have to be an exact match. As long as there are similar tones, the extensions will blend seamlessly with your hair. If there are a few that could match and you are wanting lighter or darker tones in your hair then choose the set that has lighter or darker tones. If you’re unsure, our customer service team is here to help you make the best choice.

  • The longer the difference between your original hair and the extensions, the more hair (grams) you will need. If you are using a hairstylist to style your hair, consult with your hairstylist and what they think you may need. If you’re still uncertain, our team can provide personalised advice based on your needs. Send us a photo of your current hair, and the hairstyle you’re trying to achieve.

  • Consider the final look you desire. However, if you measure your hair in inches from the base of the neck right down to the ends and add approximately an inch, this will give an indication of what length your hair is currently at. This will give you a guide as to how much longer each length we offer is compared to your hair.

  • No, you only need to lightly comb the extensions. Please do not wash them. Our team will handle all cleaning and maintenance upon their return.

  • Our customer service team is always available to assist you with any questions you may have about colour matching, thickness, or length. Feel free to reach out for personalised guidance.

  • We have very strict quality control measures. All of our extensions are hand washed, dried and prepped with heat protector spray after every use. They are also checked prior to sending to ensure they will arrive in excellent condition ready to use.

    The configuration of the hair extensions will be noted and also given to you so you know how many pieces you will be receiving and have to return.

  • We are in the process of setting up an online retail space where you can purchase our extensions to keep. Until this space is ready, get in touch with our customer service team and they can support you with your purchase.

Delivery & Returns FAQ’s

  • Yes, we do.

  • We are an Australian retailer and unable to ship internationally at this time. However, we do offer purchase options for our Hair Extensions, which we can ship internationally. Please contact us if you wish to purchase.

  • Place the hair back into the packaging that it was sent in and seal it. Stick the included returns label back over the existing label. Drop the parcel off at your nearest post office or yellow express postal box.

    Ensure you post them within the timeframe you chose (either 4 or 8 days). We will give you a specific return date when you select your hire period.

  • Returning extensions late will result in additional charges of $25/day which will be taken off your bond. Please ensure you post them back within the agreed timeframe to avoid any penalties.

  • No problems, as long as the extensions are returned in their original condition and unused. 

    Email us to submit a return request and send your extensions back via the prepaid return bag within 24 hours of delivery. We will send you out a new set or issue a refund (minus $15 shipping cost). 

Hire Process & Terms FAQs

  • If you need to extend your hire period, please contact us as soon as possible. Extensions are subject to availability and will incur additional charges.

  • Please contact our customer service team immediately if you accidentally damage the extensions. We will provide guidance on the next steps.

  • We will endeavour to process your bond return within 48 hours of receiving and checking the Hair extensions are returned within acceptable conditions.

  • You can book your extensions up to 6 months in advance. We recommend selecting hire dates that are 1 – 2 days before your event or wedding just in case the colour isn’t right or the extensions are damaged in transit. This will allow us time to make it right before your big day. Once your requested delivery date has been confirmed, we will send you a confirmation email.

  • First, browse through our collection of extensions to find the swatch that best matches your hair. Then, pick your desired length and thickness. Using the booking calendar, select the 4 or 8 day hire window then select “Book Now”. Follow the check-out process to pay and confirm your hire.  

General FAQs

  • We are an online hair extensions rental company. We offer high quality hair extensions for hire Australia wide.

  • No we don’t as we are purely an online business.

    However as Hair Hire Co is owned and operated by Pearlin Hair and Makeup Artistry in Perth. She may be able to accommodate last minute pick up and in person colour match if absolutely needed. 

  • We offer two rental period options - 4 days or 8 days. As we are Perth based, we recommend that those ordering from over east select the 8 day option to allow plenty of time for shipping. The extensions need to be back to us before the end of your hire period.

  • Currently, we offer hair extensions in 18, 20 or 22 inches in either Standard (160g) or Luxe (250g).
